More than half of the population nowadays live in cities, that are increasingly challenged with the effects of urbanization. Climate change, resource scarcity, demographic change and air quality make sustainable development difficult. In order to ensure the quality of life for inhabitants, cities worldwide take the scepter and act. Here, above all, courageous, committed CityChangers are the ones, who initiate and implement sustainable projects.
The URBAN FUTURE Global Conference (UFGC) is the world’s largest meeting point for CityChangers – people who are enthusiastic and committed to make their cities more sustainable. They initiated and implement projects and thus improve the livability in the city. The focus is on the four core themes of mobility, city planning, communication and resource conservation.
Through the URBAN FUTURE Global Conference (UFGC) Vienna will bring about 3,000 of the most committed change-makers from 400 cities across the world to Vienna. From February 28 to March 2, 2018 Europe’s largest event for sustainable cities will take place at Messe Wien.
