Transform+

Smart City Vienna aims at the intelligent handling of efficient energy planning, so that a good quality of life for all people in the city can be ensured in the future. The Transform+ project develops strategies and solutions for this.

In the future Vienna is destined to be characterised by a sustainable energy system, smart mobility services and efficient, liveable urban infrastructure and housing. The smart city requires integrated energy and urban planning approaches to meet its energy and COtargets. By developing a comprehensive smart city concept for Vienna, the research project Transform+ facilitates and intensifies research in Austria as initiated by the European TRANSFORM project.

Smart City Wien aims at the smart use of energy in urban planning to ensure a high quality of life for all citizen in the future. The project Transform+ develops the necessary strategies and solutions. Within the project this is supported by the creation of a transformation plan, the establishment of a Viennese “Smart City Working Group”, the communication between numerous players in so-called stakeholder forums, and the development of an (energy-specific) data set and quantitative analysis tool.
